The practice prescription line is very busy, and should only be used if you have an urgent query about your medication.
Please do not call the prescription line to check that your prescription has been issued to the pharmacy...
so please bear in mind that the practice requires three working days to process a routine repeat prescription
and always check with your pharmacy first to see if the prescription has been received

You can however set up to use Patient Access. This allows you to order prescriptions online, book appointments and more!

PRESCRIPTIONS FOR CONTROLLED DRUGS
Starting with immediate effect, when collecting a prescription which includes controlled medication the person collecting the prescription will be required to provide photographic ID before the prescription is released by the practice.
If you have nominated another person to collect your controlled-drug prescription on your behalf, then please make sure that the person collecting has photo-ID to present to the surgery.
Acceptable photo-ID includes;
- Driving licence
- Bus pass
- Citizens ID
- Student ID
If you or the person collecting your controlled-drug prescriptions cannot provide the necessary ID, then please contact the surgery to nominate a pharmacy who will collect your prescription on your behalf.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE REQUIREMENT FOR ID ONLY APPLIES IF YOUR PRESCRIPTION INCLUDES CONTROLLED DRUGS

How your prescription information is used

If you are on regular medication and your doctor feels that your medication can be repeated without you being seen each time, you will be given a repeat prescription. The ‘tear off’ portion may be taken or sent to the surgery where your usual doctor is based.
Please allow 72 working hours (discounting Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays) before collection.
Alternatively, you may request that your local chemist collects your prescription on your behalf.
In order to avoid errors, prescription requests are not taken over the telephone.
If you use a Pharmacy
If we send your completed prescription direct to a pharmacy from the surgery, please allow an extra day for the pharmacy to collect the prescription for you.
