RESULTS - Please telephone between 10am and 2pm
Many patients telephone for their results. We appreciate that this is for peace of mind, but it creates a large amount of unnecessary work for the staff who are already working at full steam. Should a doctor have any concerns about your results, the surgery will contact you. If you feel that you must telephone for a result then please leave 7 working days before contacting us and in the case of an x-ray 3 weeks after you have had the x-ray taken.
PHYSIOTHERAPY
You can now book your own appointment for Physiotherapy by telephoning the Appointment line on 01803 655354 between 8.30am-12.30pm Monday-Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) on the day that you are able to attend.
HOLIDAY VISITORS AND TEMPORARY RESIDENTS
If you require medical treatment or advice whilst you are away from home, please follow the guidelines set out in these pages.
PRIVATE PATIENTS & NON NHS WORK
All doctors are available for private consultation. For appointment and fee details, please enquire at Reception. A number of services are not available under the NHS and attract a private fee, e.g. accident and sickness reports for insurance companies and solicitors, holiday cancellation certificates, PSV, HGV and elderly drivers’ medicals. A full list of the services and fees payable is available on request.
SICKNESS CERTIFICATES
You do not need a sickness certificate unless you have been away from work for more than 3 days. A doctor’s certificate is not necessary until you have been absent for 7 days, including Saturday and Sunday.
A self certificate covers the period between 3 and 7 days. Forms are available from the Post Office or DSS. If you still require a certificate of sickness up to 7 days, this can be provided on a private basis, but there is a charge for this service.
